Half-Day Yellowstone Snowshoe Safari

Snowshoe Safari 0This service is available for the Bozeman and Big sky area. Snowshoes, drinks, snacks, use of optics and transportation are all provided.

Generally you will be met at your hotel in Bozeman or Big Sky (Meadow or Canyon) or at a predetermined rendezvous site. We'll drive to a snowshoe area, and along the way stop to take in unique wildlife viewing opportunities. We typically (but not always) see moose, elk, bighorn sheep, bald eagles, and coyotes. It is also possible to have unique and less common sightings of species such as porcupine, beaver or river otter. The snowshoeing experience is a lot of fun and appropriate for participants of all ages. We frequently snowshoe off-trail, break our own path through the snow, look for and learn about animal tracks and sign, learn about the region's history and view a vast landscape. With the right snow conditions, we snowshoe downhill which is exciting for all!

We also offer our half-day snowshoe safari on Yellowstone's Northern Range/Mammoth Hot Springs with pick up at Chico Hot Springs.

No prior experience necessary. If you can walk, you can snowshoe!

RATES:

$129 per person (based on a minimum of 4) BIG SKY

Additional pick up charge of $25 at Huntley Lodge or Summit Hotel will be applied for groups under 4.

$149 per person (based on a minimum of 4) BOZEMAN or CHICO HOT SPRINGS pick up

Did You Know?

The Swahili word "safari" simply means "journey" and so we consider our tours to be journeys to a deeper understanding of wild animals and their habitats, geology and their ancient forces, history and its meaning for today. Journeys, too, to find peace and joy in the natural world. And last, but not least, journeys that lead to our own wild soul.
